CAREER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
At Wimbledon Art Studios, our Career Development Programme offers both of our resident artists and the wider community opportunities to participate in inspiring creative seminars and workshops. The aim is to broaden horizons by covering relevant contemporary fine and applied art topics.
Presenting Your Work to Galleries (Hosted by Art & People)
Date: Thursday, 11 September 2025
Hours: 10.30am - 12.30pm
Cost: £30 for General Public | £15 for WAS Artists
Workshop Overview
Presenting your work to galleries can be daunting. Am I ready? Who should I approach? How should I present it? Claudia Kennaugh, founder of Art & People, is on hand to shine a light from the gallery’s perspective.
During this interactive workshop, Claudia will talk through gallery models, what galleries are looking for and offer a comprehensive 4-step guide to presenting your work. Then you’ll be invited to ask questions relating to your specific scenario to receive personalised guidance.
Artists will be invited to bring two pieces of their work for reference during the sessions. It’s open to artists of all stages, whether you’re ready to present now or in the near future. Join us to get the advice you need whilst learning from other’s experiences.
