Drawing and painting have been passions of Sara's since a young age.
After completing a Foundation at the Central School of Art in London and a BA Hons in Fashion Textiles at Winchester School of Art, Sara pursued a career as a freelance textile designer.
Clients included Burberry's, Marks & Spencer, Top Shop, Cunard and House of Fraser.
In the late 90's Sara moved on from textile design and began painting murals and painting and decorating.
Clients began to request assistance in designing their homes so Sara, working and learning alongide building contractors, gradually built a reputation for interior design and her business Inspired Interiors was born.
During this time, Sara found time to paint intermittently and sold works online, at Richmond Art House Festival and at a 'selected ex art students of Godolphin & Latymer School' exhibition at the Mall Galleries.
Always wanting to make painting a larger part of her life, in 2018 Sara enrolled in life drawing and still life painting courses to get her on her way.
She enjoys painting various subjects, especially the human figure and still life.
Her chosen medium is oil; using a grisaille underpainting to establish tone and composition, then gradually building blocks of colour.
In October of 2018 Sara joined Wimbledon Art Studios and will be participating in the Wimbledon Art Fair for the first time in May 2019.
