Lucy Morton creates calm, semi-abstract landscapes that capture the fleeting memories of coastal summer days. Her paintings are deeply evocative, translating the warmth, light, and sensory atmosphere of time spent by the sea into textured, expressive compositions.
While her core practice is rooted in the landscape, Lucy’s versatile approach to painting extends into playful thematic series and bespoke portraiture. She recently exhibited a collection of tennis ball paintings in a dedicated pop-up exhibition in Southfields to celebrate the Wimbledon tennis fortnight.
Alongside these, she maintains a dedicated practice painting animals, welcoming private commissions for expressive, custom pet portraits.
Lucy recently exhibited her work with John Martin Gallery in their prestigious Spirit Studios Space.
She lives and works in London. Find her in Studio 122!
