Born in Alexandria, Egypt, Fouad Hammoud has always preferred to imagine the unreal. An illustrator born by passion and love for detail, he translates ideas and memories into intricate hand-drawn worlds when words fall short. His focus on cities developed over the past decade while living away from home, with each detailed map becoming a personal connection to place, whether lived in or long admired.
His illustrations remain true to each city, enriched with subtle creative embellishments of his own. Ranging from expansive cityscapes to intimate borough compositions, every piece is ridiculously detailed and tells hidden stories.
His work has been exhibited at Oxford University and galleries across London, Egypt and Qatar.
