I am not a painter, can I still join Wimbledon Art Studios?

Yes, absolutely! We welcome a diverse range of artists, makers and designers at Wimbledon Art Studios. We have a variety of artists working in different fields, such as illustration, photography, millinery, ceramics, fashion and lots more.

Whether you’re a painter, sculptor, printmaker or any other type of artist, you’ll find a supportive and creative community here at Wimbledon Art Studios.


How much does a studio cost?

The cost of a studio varies based on a number of factors, such as size, location, natural light and amenities.

Our individual studios start from around £200 per month, while shared spaces start at £158 per month. Prices are subject to availability and contract.

Additionally, there is an annual membership fee of £75. Electricity is metered, meaning that you will need to buy your electricity cards from us in the office for your pre-paid meter. The amount of electricity you use will depend on the type of work you do, so we recommend keeping an eye on your meter during the first few weeks, Rest assured, there is also an emergency top-up option available in case you need it!


Are there any other facilities provided?

In addition to your space, renting a studio from Wimbledon Art Studios also includes access to a variety of other amenities.

Our artists can take advantage of the common room area, which is perfect for networking and collaborating with other artists, and the kitchen facilities which are equipped with all the necessary appliances to make your work life more convenient.

Can I take part in the Wimbledon Art Fair?

Yes, you can! We encourage all of resident artists to take part in the Wimbledon Art Fair.

It’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase your work to a large audience of over 8,000 visitors annually, including interior designers, galleries and art lovers.

The fair is a great platform to showcase your work and promote your brand, and it’s also an opportunity to network with other artists and potential buyers. We have a dedicated team that will assist you in the process, and help you to ensure that you have a successful experience at the fair.


I have work during the week, can I still access my studio at the weekend?

At Wimbledon Art Studios, we provide 24/7 access to your studio, 365 days a year.

This means that you can work on your art whenever it’s convenient for you, whether that’s during the week or on the weekends.


Is there a minimum rental period?

At Wimbledon Art Studios, we offer monthly-rolling contracts to our artists, which means that the minimum rental period is one month.

This allows our artists the flexibility to rent the studio space for a shorter or longer period of time based on their needs.

This means that you can rent the studio for as long as you need it, and can move out with a month’s notice.


Are there any parking facilities?

Yes, we do offer free parking for all of our artists.

This means that you can park your car safely and securely on-site, giving you one less thing to worry about while you focus on your art.


Will there be opportunities to meet the other artists?

Yes, there are plenty of opportunities to meet the other artists of the community.

We host professional development workshops and regular social events throughout the year, such as the Purple Thursdays, the Summer Picnic and Christmas Party. These events provide a great opportunity to meet and connect with other artists, share knowledge and experience, and build a supportive and creative community.

Additionally, we have common room areas where you can find many of the artists enjoying their lunch between 1pm - 2pm. This can be a great time to connect with your neighbours and build connections in the community.
