Amy Moretsele (b. 1998) is a figurative oil painter based in London. Her work explores themes of identity, representation, feminism, microcommunication and the body - its histories, traumas, functions and contradictions - through a deliberately fragmented lens. The foundation of her paintings are interviews with her subjects, which she then uses to inform her choice of colour and symbols (emojis).
