Tinku Biswas was born in India and was brought up mainly in England punctuated by time spent in Sweden, India, Iran and Abu Dhabi. She lives in Surrey and enjoys travelling extensively.
She was a keen artist in childhood and showed promise, winning numerous local competitions. Despite her love of art and encouragement from her art teachers, to study this subject further, she has pursued a successful career as a doctor whilst juggling the commitments of parenthood.
She returned to art more seriously in 2014. She now works in a wide variety of media including oils, acrylics, pastel and charcoal.
Her training in art since 2014 has included courses at The Slade (part of University College London), University of the Arts London (including Central St. Martin’s) and Heatherley’s in Chelsea.
She hopes to extend her skills further into various fields of design in the future and is currently learning to design and work in leather.
Wimbledon Art Fair is the first major public exhibition of her art.
