Jeremy Dickinson is a still life painter at heart, making serious work out of playful subject matter. During his childhood, he was an avid collector of model cars, trucks, buses and trains as well as an amateur cartographer and trainspotter. He has continued collecting to this day, hunting at flea markets for well played-with vehicles for use in his artworks.

Another body of work is the 'Civic Pride' series of bus paintings, ongoing since the early 1990s, using as the source amateur photographs taken in the street by transport enthusiasts. Jeremy has also worked on various sculpture projects, again with a transportation theme, using for example redundant railway tracks, shipping containers and scrap bulldozers. Many of these are permanently installed in the Mojave Desert in California

Jeremy's work has been exhibited widely over the past 3 decades, with a 10 year survey exhibition at Horsens Kunstmuseum in Denmark, and solo exhibitions with Xippas Galleries in Geneva and Montevideo, Tomio Koyama Gallery in Tokyo and Anthony Meier Fine Arts in San Francisco.
