Graham Allen Hunter BA (Hons) (born 6 February 1963 in Southampton) is an English artist and alumni of Wimbledon School of Art, U.A.L.

2011 – 2015, Graham Hunter Gallery, Baker Street London, promoting this highly successful artist at his own Gallery.

Graham has also exhibited at The A & D Gallery; Chiltern Street since 2000 with a retrospective of his work in 2009 curated by owner Daniel Brant.

In 2004, Graham had two paintings selected and hung at the Royal Academy of Art Summer Exhibition.

Graham’s paintings are in private collections in Europe, America and Australia:

Later paintings have developed out of the artists musing on artists such as Jackson Pollock and Sam Francis. The paint has become a greater part of the subject, and the work has moved away from small contemplative worlds into free flowing expanses of colour and light full of action and vitality.

Education

1979 – 1981 Itchen College Southampton Graham came under the Tutelage of Robin Corbin who fired his passion and encouraged him to reach out for a life in art.

1981 – 1982 Winchester school of Art: Foundation in Fine art Painting

1982 – 1985 Wimbledon school of Art: studying painting under Bernard Cohen, Prunella Clough, Maggie Hambling, Christopher Le Brun, David Whitaker along with Richard Layzell, Michael Vaughn and Jane Joseph.
