SARAH OLLERENSHAW | studio 252

Sarah Ollerenshaw is an emerging artist with a background in fine art restoration. She studied Spanish and History of Art at Birmingham University and then took a postgraduate diploma at Christie’s which led on to an apprenticeship in restoration and conservation. Throughout her studies and restoration work she has always painted. She is currently a part time art teacher at a Prep School in Fulham, an artist and a mother of 2 but not necessarily in that order!

Sarah’s landscapes are drawn from her experiences whilst out walking. They are executed with an intensity and vigour with painterly bold marks, scratches and washes. They are dramatic yet simple and have a poetic quality and a rhythmic balance of colour. Sarah works loosely from photographs in her studio.
