I normally travel a lot collecting material for paintings from a wide range of locations. Lockdown put a temporary stop to that but provided the opportunity to produce a series of work based on the immediate district where I live in London. The result has been the “Battersea Park” Series. The cycle of seasons in different weather and times of day with the changes in colour and mood create a variety of visual stories. Ranging from stark, spare winter to leafy summer; from early morning raking light to shadowy late evening.
