Other Activity and Monthly Classes

Amongst other things we offer our artist members the opportunity to participate in an annual calendar of relevant educational based seminars, talks and visits know as ‘The Career Development Programme’.

The aim is to ‘broaden horizons’ by meeting and talking to people and organisations that one wouldn’t normally have exposure to, about topics that are relevant to the career of an artist. The programme is very successful with topics ranging from: ‘The financial implications of being self employed’, ‘Self confidence when selling your work’, ‘How to apply for arts funding’ and ‘How to write an impactful artists statement’ plus field trips to galleries etc.

We also have annual social events including: The Summer Picnic, The Saturday Night Social during Open Studios plus, the obligatory, Christmas drinks.

It can be very isolating being an artist and we try hard to alleviate that for the artist members that want more than just a workspace.

Our CDP’s are open to Artists and the general public.  Please call 020 8947 1183 or email julie@wimbledonartstudios.co.uk

The Art Provenance Register

We have had to re-schedule this talk. Date to be confirmed!

How it works. TAPREG works in a similar way to how cars and  shares are registered, allowing for the traceability of provenance from the time the artwork is created. This will explain how it works and will answer all your questions. To apply to issue certificates with new artwork is completely free to the artist.

  • The artist will issue the new artwork with a numbered certificate
  • That certificates number will be pre-registered to the artist on the database
  • When a collector buys the artwork, the certificate will be included
  • The collector will then login to www.tapreg.com and register they have purchased the artwork
  • The artist will be sent an email confirming that the art has been registered

What are the key features

  • Protect the authenticity of your art
  • You will receive £10 for each piece of your art that is registered by a collector
  • Free online artist profile and gallery
