I’m a London based plein air (work on the spot) painter.
My work is all about light - exploring how it transforms places, people and objects.
I mainly use pastel and enjoy the glowing, fragile colours. It suits the transience of the moment and can be worked rapidly in the changing light. I’ve recently got back into oils; I love squeezing the paint out of the tube.
There are two free light shows a day, sunrise and sunset and four different seasons - never ending subject matter.
Art is a form of communication and I hope my work conveys my wonder of the world.
I’m a member of the Pastel Society, Chelsea Art Society, the Wapping Group of Artists and Small Paintings Group. I have exhibited at the Jerram Gallery, Moorwood Art, Found Gallery, Russell Gallery, Panter & Hall and Piers Feetham Gallery amongst others.
