WHAT I DO:

DRAWING, PAINTING, STAINED GLASS, FUSING & MIX MEDIA SCULPTURE

END RESULT:

Working in oils and very occasionally acrylic my paintings aim to capture a voyeuristic secret thought, a combination of photojournalism and classic portraiture, descriptive and inviting.

My commissions are mainly figurative, shown in compositions that add to the intrigue; exaggerating the character and expression of the sitter. 

The stained glass designs are inspired by the use of pure colour composed in abstract, symbolic and figurative concepts. The concepts evolve from structured drawings and paintings, through various fusing, drawing and etching processes.

The result is compositions that change as light moves across the object to reveal the unique quality of the glass and the subject matter.
