Annam Butt is a London based classically trained artist. Her work explores themes of the Orient, still-lives with narrative and figurative work often all painted from life. Her British Pakistani heritage often influences subtle themes in her work, however, Annam is constantly evolving her practice and experimenting with new materials and mediums to expand on her craft. As an artist Annam believes it is important to continue to teach and provide a space for fellow artists wanting to practice and paint from life. As an artist, Annam strongly believes in imparting her skills and knowledge, which is why she regularly hosts weekly drop-in sessions at her studio (Studio 37 Art Group). In addition, she provides private tuition for all age groups wanting to learn to paint in oils and charcoal.
