I am a contemporary painter, based in Wimbledon, I studied Fine Art at Canterbury and have led a creative life, through photography, drawing and painting.

My work is loosely based around both sea and landscapes.  There is an abstractness which I feel is personal, it’s very much a reflection of me: the dark and the light, the bold and the not so bold and all my soft and my hard edges.  Call and response.

In todays ever accelerating world, I find art is a place where time is folded over and gives a space to think and just ‘be’.  Not that my work just lies down – taut contrasts create a depth and an experience that can be really challenging and dramatic as well as thoughtful.  Colour, texture and a subtlety that will draw you in.  I want you to go looking in my paintings, let them transport you, to another place that is just yours.

My hope is you find a space in your home / workplace for a personal, thoughtful painting, and something you will treasure for many years.  You will find me in studio 208, I am open to commissions, if you have an idea in mind, I am always happy to talk about painting.
